Lloyd’s Insurance Company announces UK Branch leadership

Lloyd’s Insurance Company (LIC) has announced leadership appointments for its UK branch, Mark Cooper is appointed as Head of LIC UK Branch effective 1 November (subject to regulatory approvals). Mark will retain his current position of Head of European Branches and Chief Market Development Officer for LIC.  Mark replaces Keith Stern who has been the LIC UK Branch Manager since its establishment in 2018. Keith will continue to focus on his role as Regional Manager for UK and Ireland. In addition to Mark, David Jackson is appointed as Senior Underwriting Manager, LIC UK Branch; and Kirstie Keate is appointed as Underwriting Manager, LIC UK Branch, both effective 6 December 2021.

The LIC UK branch has been set up in 2018 and is benefiting currently of the Temporary Regime Permission, to carry out regulated activities in the UK whilst seeking regulatory authorisation, with expectations of completing the application for full authorisation by Q2, 2022.

Mark Cooper said: “I am delighted to take on the role of leading the UK Branch of LIC in its future developments. I would also like to thank Keith for his stewardship of the LIC Branch and hard work in setting up and overseeing the branch.”
