Lloyd’s Europe Innovation Event 2023

Brussels
6-7 July 2023

Lloyd’s Europe will hold the inaugural “Insurance Innovation at the heart of Europe” event on 6-7 July 2023 in Brussels, Belgium, to bring together innovators, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders from across Europe to drive innovation, insights and ideas on how to address the protection gaps in Europe. The event will also celebrate the first Europe-dedicated theme within cohort 10 of the Lloyd’s Lab – the InsurTech accelerator at the heart of Lloyd’s, the world’s largest specialist (re)insurance marketplace.

The theme of the event will be Underinsurance and protection gaps in Europe, with a special focus on digital and climate solutions, where European InsurTechs will pitch their solutions to compete for the “Lloyd’s Europe Innovation Award”. The two-day event will be jointly hosted by BeCentral (Day 1 – Innovation Competition) and KPMG (Day 2 – Investment Forum).

On Day 1, InsurTechs will pitch their insurance solutions to an expert panel of judges, made up of senior representatives from FERMA, BeCentral, KPMG, FinTech Belgium, Assuralia and Qover. The panel will deliberate and then announce the winner with the Lloyd’s Europe Innovation Award presented by Thomas Dermine, Belgium’s Secretary of State for Economic Recovery and Strategic Investments. Networking drinks will follow.

For any further information please contact David Franco or Sytske Romijn at Lloyd’s Europe.
