Lloyd’s Europe has been made aware of ongoing fraudulent activity involving unauthorised emails and fabricated insurance documents impersonating Lloyd’s and Lloyd’s Insurance Company S.A. (LIC). Recent reports show that individuals have received emails from the address: lloyds.services@europeaninsurance.info. This email address does not belong to Lloyd’s, Lloyd’s Europe, or any Lloyd’s‑affiliated entity.
These communications have included:
- Fake insurance quotes and policies
- Misuse of outdated Lloyd’s logos
- Fraudulent signatures from individuals falsely claiming to be Lloyd’s employees
These documents are not issued, authorised, or recognised by Lloyd’s Europe.
If you receive any suspicious communication:
- Do not respond or make any payments.
- Do not share personal or financial information.
- Check that emails come from an official Lloyd’s domain (@lloyds.com; @lloydseurope.com).
- Report the message using the “Report phishing” option in your email provider.
- Notify your national cyber authority or local police.
- Verify legitimacy by contacting Lloyd’s Europe directly through official channels.
Lloyd’s has taken steps to block the known impersonation domain and continues to monitor for fraudulent activity. However, as these attempts occur entirely outside official systems, Lloyd’s Europe cannot prevent third‑party misuse of its name or branding.
If you are unsure about the authenticity of a communication claiming to be from Lloyd’s or Lloyd’s Europe, please contact us immediately.
