On the beautiful terrace of the Lloyd’s Europe office in Milan, ILlCA, the Italian Association of Lloyd’s Correspondents, celebrated its 30th year anniversary with over 80 delegates including Italian Coverholders and Open Market Correspondents, Lloyd’s Brokers and loss adjusters.
During the reception opened by Nicoletta Andreotti, Lloyd’s General Representative for Italy, Andrea Di Giacomo, Chairman of ILlCA, talked about the most important milestones that marked the association history and said:
“Since 1993, when the association was established, our objective was to support and facilitate the sharing of information and experiences amongst the Lloyd’s Correspondents in Italy and to promote a sustainable and positive relationship with the Lloyd’s Milan office, the Lloyd’s Corporation in London, Lloyd’s brokers and, more recently, with the Lloyd’s Insurance Company in Brussels”
Delegates had the opportunity to network, to hear about the past and the forthcoming activities of the association and to be updated on Lloyd’s Europe plans for growing business in Italy.
Marco Alessandro Preti, Staple Hall Europe commented:
The presence of many people was much appreciated and helped make the whole experience even more meaningful. It was a real pleasure to see you again and share this networking moment together. I am always inspired by the opportunity to meet professionals, who bring a unique perspective and a wealth of valuable expertise. Active participation during the event helped to enrich the discussions and provided added value to all present, also synergies can lead to fruitful collaborations in the future. Thank you once again for the invitation and for your valuable contribution to the event. I look forward to seeing you again soon and continuing our conversations.
Fabrizio Callarà, Lloyd’s Coverholder and ILlCA board member said:
I lived a special moment that brought me back to memories regarding the key milestones from the opening of Lloyd’s representative office in Italy and Lloyd’s Europe in Brussels to the creation and development of ILlCA and we heard about people and facts that were unknown to those who weren’t there when all started. Having Enrico Bertagna and Vittorio Scala, two former Lloyd’s Country managers for Italy, who made Lloyd’s history in the country in the last 25 years was a great emotional moment. Their speeches made it clear how the past actions contribute to create a sustainable future for Lloyd’s that, despite many operational changes, remains a positive and strong insurer.
